Geofence

Virtual perimeter over a geographic area that triggers alerts when a vehicle enters or exits.

A geofence is a virtual perimeter defined over a real geographic area. When a vehicle equipped with a GPS tracker crosses this perimeter, the system generates an automatic alert.

Types of geofences in Rinho

  • Circular: A center point and radius are defined. Most common for fixed locations like warehouses, clients or loading zones.
  • Polygonal: Multiple points define an irregular shape. Ideal for routes, work zones or complex areas.

Rinho devices support 32 circular geofences and 32 polygonal regions configurable simultaneously.

Use cases

  • Speed zone: Limit speed within urban zones or industrial plants.
