We know that companies dedicated to fleet management want precise control over vehicle location. That's why at Rinho Telematics, we take this a step further with geofence and waypoint functionality. But what exactly are they, and how can they benefit you?

What Are Geofences and Waypoints?

Geofences, also known as waypoints, are specific geographic areas that can be virtually delimited. Imagine an invisible perimeter that you define on a map to control your vehicles' movements. These zones can be, for example, conflict areas, restricted zones, or simply important locations for your operation.

Once the geofence is configured, Rinho Spider IoT and Rinho Smart IoT devices can detect when a vehicle enters or exits these zones, generating automatic alerts. This functionality allows:

• Entry and exit alerts: Receive real-time alerts whenever a vehicle enters or exits a predefined zone.
• Prohibited zone control: Establish geofences in areas where vehicles shouldn't be, preventing misuse.
• Route optimization: Identify if vehicles are where they should be, improving operational efficiency.

Automatic Waypoint Configuration

Flexibility is key, and Rinho offers an innovative tool that automatically generates the command for Rinho Spider IoT and Rinho Smart IoT devices without complications.
